Running a GT500

Running a GT500
I've been talking with a buddy about running my IS-F against his 2007 GT500. At first, this may sound like a David vs. Goliath run but it may actually be a good run.
From what I've read, that year GT500 (500hp) runs a mid-high 12 second 1/4 mile. Right on par with the IS-F. I believe the trap speed on the GT500 may be a tad higher. His GT500 is a coupe but I believe they still weigh 4000+ lbs.
I think my best bet would be to run from a dig. Although I have traction issues out of the hole and the IS-F seems to spin all the way through first, the GT500 is going to be spinning as well. With the GT500's higher trap speed, I think it may have the advantage going from a roll.
Of course, neither of us have been to the drag strip to compare numbers, so we are just bench racing at this point. What do you guys think?
GT500 is stock. IS-F has muffler deletes and Takeda intake. I also may have the slight advantage of the GT500 having a passenger who's going to be recording the run.

With E/I/Header u r good to roll that now is about dead even but i'm sure ISF will take it everytime , from dig or from roll Now if your car only has intake which is not much, then that removal all the excess weight, jack, tools, 1/4 of gas tank , engine cover too lolz, manual book, floor mats. Also u might want to find a empty straight road and start to practice some runs. Let the ECU learns it , hope that help lolz.

Given completely equal drivers, I think the GT500 edges the ISF from a dig and from a roll but the ISF would pull as the race started to get deep into triple digits (which I hope isn't the plan for this run unless you're going to an abandoned airfield).
That's equal drivers though. He's got a manual and there's certainly more room for him to make a mistake with shifting than you. I think it is a close race 0-100mph or even 40 roll to 100mph. As blitz said, if you had headers or even a catless exhaust, you'd edge him.

ran one from a 40 roll and he had me by 1.5 cars to about 120ish. all he had was muffler delete and i had joe-z intake and borla catback with about 100lbs weight reduction. they are heavy but if he can drive he will pull you.
