Taking the F to the Dragon

Taking the F to the Dragon
Hey everyone,
A buddy of mine from S2ki sent me a message asking if I wanted to join him and others from S2ki on a road trip to the Dragon the 2nd week of April. When I had my S2000, the dates for this drive just never worked out and I was never able to go. I can't wait, I have never been, but from what I have seen, the roads look just incredible. How many of you have driven the Tail of the Dragon, and how was you your experience? Did you eat up brakes and tires quickly?
I'll be sure to document the whole trip well with pictures and update after the drive. Hopefully I'll have my coilovers and PPE headers on before that.

ive driven on it but not with the F. It's not as fun anymore since police are at every corner now. so many speeders and accidents, they had to. it will eat up your front tires if the toe is not correct as it did mine. fun though , just watch out for other speeders with incoming lane.

Hey guys, I just got back from NC, after spending four days with the S2ki group running the Tail of the Dragon and many of the other nearby roads. The F handled it all really well. The new BC coilovers were great for all the twisties, but I can definitely see where larger front tires would help cure some of the understeer. I have a ton of pictures and probably close to 100gb of GoPro videos of all the runs that I will be posting up to Youtube once edited. This was my first time out there, and I could not get over how beautiful the scenery is out there. I highly recommended anyone to take the trip if you can. The drives are incredible. Here are a few of my many pics.

Yea it was really a lot of fun. The Fontana Village where we stayed was a great place to stay, and it was cool to see just about every cabin there to have some sort of performance car parked outside. I definitely struggled to keep up with the S2000's on some of the really technical twists, but that is where that car is in it's element. Anyway, it wasn't a race, just a wonderful bunch of drives. Here is a short clip of part of the Dragon run, GoPro mounted just above the left headlight. I also have some right centered below the front Lexus emblem.

Thanks for the video! That looks like a lot of fun. Similar to my afternoon drive home everyday; only mine is just a hair shorter and with my vertical ups and downs. Best 3-3.5 miles of my drive home.
