2012 ISF 295/30R19's on OEM's?

As per my original thread, because I wanted PSS's, it was either 275 or 295. If PSS's came in a 285 it would have been a perfect fit for me. If having Bridgestones is an option then the S0-4 is the way to go IMO.
In Ontario I paid $1500 installed + tax for PSS 245/275 combo. If I went with 245/295 it would have been $1600 + tax installed. It was at a chain tire shop called KAL Tire. Costco was similar price, but would not do the free test mount as per my original post.

^^^^In all the Tests I have seen for Max Performance tires, they run second to the PSS.

I haven't been in an F with S0-4's, but the difference in wet and dry traction between the 255 PS2's and the 275 PSS' s is substantial! My 2012 which has LSD hooks up great in comparison to my previous 09 with OEM PS2's or the OEM PS2' s that came with the 12.
With the 09, if I got on it hard from a stop, the tires were turning into 3rd. Now I can get a much harder launch out of the hole with limited spin and even when they break loose a bit, they rebite quickly.

a coupe comments.
Good info in this thread, thanks. I have often thought of updating to 2012 wheels for the widths, but now don't see any befits.
My Costco will mount whatever you want if you sign a waiver and they void the tire warranty. YMMV
It looks like the PSS is a wide tire (remember manufacturers can fudge a little on widths). The mounted 275 looks much wider than other 275s I've seen.
I just ordered some Vredestein Vorti in 285/30/19 (released just last year in EU) so there are more offerings in 285/30/19 than before.
To the guy running 245F 255R, I'm surprised as you are running "almost" square but do not get the benefits of a truly square set up for tire rotation, etc. What was your thought process behind this decision? I have been running 245F 275R with the F-sport rear bar for a very neutral balance. My next step with the 285 is for more rear traction, I have a little concern with understeer but don't expect too much of a shift.
Thanks!

CrazyKid, the benefit to the 1/2" wider rims is that it reduces relative tire bulge and makes a 285 within recomended width tire range. I know guys run 285's on 9" without problem, but it is technically in the recomended range. Granted the rims look different than the pre 2012, but to spend the bucks on OEM rims for 1/2" width and a different look........maybe go aftermarket and get the exact width and offset with whatever wheel looks best to you.
I looked at all my pic's of the 275/295 test and while it's personal preference, I feel 285 is the best width. The 295 just bulged a bit to much for me and that was on the 9 1/2" rim. Maybe a 295 on an aftermarket rim with a different offset would work?
