Welcome. Man!!!! what in the world was the previous owner thinking? SMH. One thing I learned joining this forum is that CL members are very helpful to fellow owners. Ask and you shall receive information. it's a long process of fixing it but i'm sure you'll be come out on top. Good luck.

+1 on this suggestion... the lower stock grille seems like it matches pretty close with the C-mod, as stock upper grille is greyish...

Looks like the original owner liked the look of the CTS-V chrome grille layout...

Take the grilles next to the fog lights off and just paint or plasti dip the top and bottom grilles. Ya that crome looks hideous!

Just plastidip it for free and see how it looks before spending money, then go with OEM if you dont like the results

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I will definitely look at oem and the c-mod. So I had the same idea for a quick fix till I have time to get parts. I just picked up plasti-dip and took off the chrome by the fogs. How do you guys think it looks now. The plasti-dip is really easy. I leave it temporarily. Least I can drive without the embarrassment of chrome.

Looks like we all share the same sentiments... It looks MUCH better with the plasti-dip! I seriously cringed when I saw the first photo with the obnoxiously overdone BLINGBLING-IN-YO-FACE chrome, lol :P

Aside from that, gratz on the new ride, and welcome to CL!

Plastidip is awesome! My grill emblums and lower rear bumper are plastidipped, and it lays flat and smooth and looks great. It lasts too. $6 a can at home depot and your set.

Well you may want to look into buying this if you want to replace it with OEM

the huge chrome grille reminds me of the first gen cadillac (and even the current gen) CTS-V. Not sure who in the marketing department told them that big flashy chrome grills were back in style but I wish they would get a clue!
