I would agree with the decision to get the Porsche, unless you plan on driving 25,000 miles a year like you have with your Lexus. If that is the case, I would get the AMG instead, or better yet, keep the Lexus. It would probably be a better car to commute that much in.

If i get the GT3 RS next year, I will be keeping the IS F. I have a 1990 BMW 325i that I hope to put under the knife and install a e46 M3 engine, then that will be my DD. IS F will be the DD in the mean time. GT3 RS will be the weekend car...and I have a new toy that's coming today

What's the new toy?

Congrats. Hopefully you have another good 100 or 200k depending on how long you decide to keep her. The expectation of being able to put this many miles on without issues is one of the primary reasons I went with this over an M3 or C63.
I will hit 95k by this weekend. New job location has me driving much less than last year or I would have hit it this past fall probably. Luckily that means my extended warranty will be around for a little longer.

They're not the best pictures...but they'll have to do!
My new toy...2013 Triumph Daytona 675R. If you're wondering...yes...it's my very first motorcycle. And today, I rode it for the first time, and it's awesome. Life is different on two wheels...Yeah I know, it's a TON of bike for your first bike...be smart, ride safe, pay attention to those idiots out there, wear protective gear...etc...

There's no comparison between bikes and cars. You have to learn a completely different set of rules to drive fast (I had a very hard time learning to drive cars fast after road racing motorcycles for some years), and just because a bike accelerates hard in a straight line doesn't mean you know what to do when the front end of your bike starts sliding because you don't know how to regain traction with your knee.
Be careful with the bike. Get proper training, or we'll be reading your epitaph because your ego was bigger than your skill.
lobuxracer, MSF Instructor and AFM racer who didn't own a car for 8 years while he rode everywhere on three continents with motorcycles.

I would like to think that I'm definitely one that understands my capabilities and i will need to do that even more so on a bike as the room for error is very slim. I rode it around yesterday for the first time but only up to about 43mph. I'll be riding it around town for awhile until i'm comfortable before i even make it on to the crazy freeways of CA.
Hopefully later this weekend one of my friends will ride around with me. I would like to get used to riding slow in it, IE parking lot speeds and practicing u-turns and such. I know u-turns supposedly is a pain if you don't know the proper techniques on a street bike. It was easy in the MSF class, but completely different bike geometry.
