Default Fastest IS-F 1/4 mile time, without NOS?

I have checked a pile of threads and see some 11's out there. What is the fastest time yet?
Also, is it I/E/H and drag radials that make up the magic combo?

11.9 or 11.8x by caymandive

Weather conditions have to be perfect. Launch has to be perfect. The last fraction of a second needs to be done while hitting the rev limiter in 4th gear. Switching to 5th makes you lose precious fractions of a second and puts you into the 12s.

^^^ 11.9 he has laid it down quite a few times. he is using slicks to run that consistently i believe . All the guys with those mods and nitrous are running 11 flat to mid 11s depending on tires and how well the track is preped

Close, but the magic combo is exhaust, headers, weight reduction and weather conditions. Intakes on this car do little to nothing while some actually hurt performance.

As far as weight goes its easy to unload a few lbs by running low fuel, pulling the spare, jack, tools and engine covers. Take it a step further and you can do a lightweight battery and coilovers. 2 piece brake rotors and lightweight rims would help even more, but I haven't gone that far yet.

Suggestions made in previous posts here are all true too regarding launching and holding fourth.

Caymandive, were you running slicks, street radial drags? Trying to figure out how much the tires are responsible for your times. I recently went from 255 PS2's to 275 PSS's and noticed a substantial hookup difference.

When it's cold out (below) 60 it benefits to run drag radials as hooking up on street tires is tough. I use MT Street ET 245/40/18's, which are the most common size drag tire for us. The diameter is slightly shorter so it helps accelerate slightly, but comes at a price with hitting the rev limit at the top of 4th right at the end.

Here is a video I took from inside the car when I ran my best 11.91 at 120.58 where you can see the 4th gear issue.

I ran a 12.0 on street tires this past fall as did another member here Gymkata with the temps being about the same as the day I ran. I was running on stock size 255's (PSS's) in the back and he was running 275's (PSS's). Though our ET was identical his 60' was better 1.874 vs my 1.937. So there is a benefit to running 275's and I wish I had gone that route myself, but if you want in the 11's drag radials are pretty much a must and will only happen if the Density Altitude is 0 ft (sea level) or less with mods mentioned above.

cayman, what rpm do you hold for launch? when light turn yellows, do you slam on the accelerator or do you gradually press it for traction?

awesome time on street tires. you're my hero.
