Default New guy here!

Hi everybody! My name is Chris and im from RI. Just traded in my built 410whp 06 sti for a 2011 lexus is-f. I just drove 6 hours each way today to pick up the car in Delaware and it's awesome! Just wanted to introduce myself

I have been looking into the headers/exhaust/intake but I need to do a little more research. The car is a 2011 with 17k miles and it has a lot of warranty left. Lexus' view on mods is going to influence my next moves

Hello and welcome...just so you know there is an isf section for you to check out if you have any questions. Also check the NEISF thread for meets and details regarding ISF in the Northeast.

To answer your questions on the mods it all depends on the dealer really. Some will say its ok and some will not like it and prefer not to work on your car. I would say the safest mod to do would be intake as it really doesn't do anything to void your warrantly. Exhaust would be next and then headers. Also if your going that route be prepared for some rattles and drone and loud exhaust. Not sure if this is your daily but my setup is loud. I recommend hearing one in person and go from there if you can tolerate the loudness. If you want the most HP without it being loud get headers.

here is the link for the NEISF thread...

here is an ISF meet on april 27...would be a great opportunity for you to see and hear some mods in person.

Thanks guys. I appreciate any help. I am looking into the intake right now, and im going to call around to the 2 lexus dealerships in my area to inquire about the exhaust. My wife has a 12' impreza for our winter/daily driver and I have a work van that clocks about 25k miles a year. I think I drove my sti 5k miles last year and i plan on keeping the mileage down on the isf. Im going to try and make that meet in delaware as would love to see/hear all the great lexus vehicles. Thanks again

Thanks, this forum seems like a really tight knit, helpful community. I absolutely love this car and look forward to learning more about it
