Question JoeZ Exhaust question: Look at this picture?

hey guys,

Funny I'm asking you this as I've installed a few of these including one on my own IS-F but never paid attention to the cats.

Does the JoeZ exhaust eliminate or replace any of the stock cars on the IS-F and if so, how does it manage to do it without tripping the CEL?

I love the sound of the JoeZ and trying to replicate that sound on my V8 M3 but not so easy....

Stock IS-F exhaust is on LEFT, and JoeZ mid-pipes are on the right:

The Joe Z exhaust deletes the secondary cats. It doesn't trip a CEL because the sensors are located after the first set of cats.

Gotcha that's kinda what I thought ~ so the JoeZ maintains the primary cats which is further up in the header itself. Those two cats after the sensor are secondary cats that are deleted.

The JoeZ also seems to use separate dual resonators instead of that one big tube on the stock setup.

PERFECT, I plan to remove my secondary cats on the M3 system next week.

I have a JoeZ exhaust sitting here off the IS-F but not sure what to do with it. May donate it to my buddy since he's is looking to buy an IS-F.

thanks JoeZ ~ will report back on how the M3 sounds after surgery
