Location of the turbos had nothing to do with it. Corvettes, and a host of other vehicles have used rear mounts for decades. Quit misinformimg people.

Personally I see rear mounted turbos as gay, but that's just my view
I hate having turbo spool and noise and making hardly any additional power.
Until today I've never seen or heard of a TT ISF making decent power consistently and running well.

You know rear mounted turbos have less piping and bends than a front mount. Also if built correctly a rear mount will spool just the same. Have you hear of quick spool valves? Have you heard of heat wrapping the exhaust side of the turbo pipes? If you need some examples I will show you
