Discounts & Prices on new IS-F
My wife loves the IS-350 which was our first and frugal choice as we started shopping, but like any smart guy I started to nudge her towards the possibility of an IS-F instead and it is looking like a real possibility.
What discounts are people getting now (Spring 2013)? Are these moving at or below invoice? Are dealers still receiving new stock, or has the production stopped for the IS-F? (this matters a lot because I'd rather wait for a desirable color combination because there are none in my metro right now).
PM's are welcome too. Thanks in advance.

Wouldnt it be easier to just call a lexus dealer and get the correct for sure answer about ordering cars. They can tell you the cut off date to order.
Just looking at autotrader real fast, it looks like new 2013's are going for $66k, which is MSRP on building your own with the navi package.

Production will continue for the remainder year, but Lexus has stopped taking special orders as of April 24th. What that means is you're stuck with whatever the dealership ordered on their own. Most should be base + NavLev though. PSC and headlamp washers are the only other options which are really hard to find.
I special ordered mine several weeks ago fully loaded with PSC ($1500), headlamp washers ($100), all accessories (trunk mats, paint protection film, rear bumper aplique...) MSRP ~$69k. I got them to go down to $63k flat - another $1k for recent graduation program when I finance with them.
Prior to that, another Lexus dealer offered me $61500 for one with NavLev and parking assist.
The key is to shop around and have dealers compete with each other.
I'm just talking about 2013 models btw. For 2012 new, you should be able to make away under $57k

The wife will probably use the price difference between the IS350 and the ISF as the deal killer. You can get around that by finding a clean used ISF for just a few dollars more than the 350. Here's a 2012 model in Carlsbad for only 49K http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...adius=500&mmt=[LEXUS[ISF[]][]]&listingId=338556871&Log=0

Plus, yes, there is that price difference and she's reminding me the Q50 and new IS350 out in July-ish.

The new Q50 looks good though.

A clean and detailed pre-owned IS-F looks and feels exactly like a new car, and I would bet on the longterm reliability of even a 2011 IS-F against a Merc or the Q50. The beauty and the beast aspect of the car appeals to my wife, she finds it easy to drive and has never even experienced its true power.
The only....ONLY....part of my '11 I find dated is programming the Nav system, it's much easier to find a destination on my phone. Don't know if the new ones have better interface.
