JS I do have the habit of resting my hand on the shifter because I've been driving manual cars since I got my license 8 years ago. The only time I use it on the F is to park the car or back out, and also to switch between D and M mode. You don't need to put it into neutral when stationary (although the only time I do is when I want to rev and attract attention )...My other car is manual, so I leave it in neutral when rolling down the hill or when the car is stationary, and always use the e-brake when parking. But on the F I only use the ebrake when parking on hills for added safety. Likewise, in my manual car I keep the car in first gear (in addition to handbrake) on hills.

hey VJ, yea i should leave in D all the time.....but i guess i do miss manual shifting xP
