Question Aftermarket Alarm on your F

I want to put an aftermarket alarm on my car for a bit of additional piece of mind. Considering that this is push start I'm figuring that there aren't too many manufacturers that would support a remote start.

Does anyone here have an aftermarket alarm on their car with remote start capabilities? Can you let me know the brand? Did you lose any functionality with the stock key capabilities when you had the alarm installed?

Viper has some pretty dope remote start and security systems that can be used through phone apps, but also just the regular remote start also. I wouldnt think it would be a problem with push to start... tons of cars come OEM with push to start, kias and stuff.

The problem isn't push to start, its having the key in the car to start the car.. you'll need to bypass this with the alarm

A by-pass is available from Viper/Clifford for our cars as well as iPhone start/unlock compatibility
You will also need an additional module for the power locks

What you will lose is the intuitive key sensing abilities, and the extra fob adds another lump in your pocket

More detail please ******. I'm interested for an alarm too.

Does the key sensing functional and keyless entry still work?

Basically viper and vehicle factory works as 2 separate alarm. However if u look your car with viper it will arm the viper as well as the factory alarm same for disarming. So to answer your question, keyless entry amd key sensing function will not really work. Your car will sense your keys but by pulling on the handle you will only disarm the factory alarm but not the viper alarm.

i have viper 2 way alarm with remote start. you don't lose a key with this and I would highly
recommend it. it is great to start it from inside the house and let it run for 10-15 minutes
. when you hop in its already at 2 bars and ready for manual mode! The extra key fob doesn't bother me. like person before me said you retain all functions but they are two seperate systems.
I like checking the fob and knowing that the car is locked or unlocked.

Which bypass module did you use for the remote start? I have the XPRESSKIT BDALL but apparently it does work for the remote start for my year. From my research idatalink Is the one to get.

As it sits right now I have the clifford 590.2x, DBALL and the the 508d for proximity sensor. When I arm the car with te alarm both factory and clifford is armed. However upon return to the car, if the key is in my pocket, once I get close to the car and the mirror light come on... The clifford automatically chirp and disarms the alarm allowing me to just open the door. I don't have to go in my pocket to manually disarm. Pretty cool. I think the BDALL Is why it work that way.
