Because the car is set up for understeer from the factory with the small tires on the front of it. Trying to neutral the car out would be the best.
Now if you are setting up a drag racing/quarter mile beast...then put some spares on the front of the car...and get some 315s M/T on the back with some helper springs

I concur with this statement. Got a good deal on Hankook V12 evos in stock size and were absolutely horrible. Squirrely on acceleration and medium speed cornering. Forget hard driving.
Went with PSS afterwards, night and day difference. 60% more in cost, but well worth it.

PSS's are awesome but I ran Continue ExtremeContact DW's on my W204 and they were awesome. Very quiet, lots of grip, and great rain performance and a butt ton cheaper than PSS's.
But the PSS would still be the superior tire if you can afford them.

I've heard good reviews about the nitto motivo also, I actually was gonna get a set for my LS but I traded it in before that. They are advertised as 60k mile tires and have very good dry and wet traction. I also think the sizes are still very limited.

^^^^This thread should interest you. Look at all the pages in the thread, there's pics. I also have a thread (referenced there) that tells about my experiences with 245/35/19-285/30/19 combo on my '08 with both Continental DW (hated 'em) and Bridgestone S-04 (luv 'em)

Off topic, but to make our tires feel super skinny...I stopped by a Chrysler dealership to look for a replacement for my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 that is finally falling apart. They had a new SRT Viper GTS with every option available there. It was definitely marked up, but the price on the sticker was $141k!!! Anyway, it had 295mm front and 355mm rear tires. I would love to see that on our cars...
