I used Rain-X for years - since 1989. Tried Aquapel. Will never go back to Rain-X.

Still on the original 4.5 year old blades without issues.

+1

Once I tried Aquapel I will never use RainX again.

Here is a video I made with my old TL. Aquapel application was 3 months ago....

Just got the latitudes in they are considerably lighter than the stock set up. Weight savings!!!!!! I'll let you all know how they are once it rains.

Surprised nobody has said anything about using Valeo blades.. Havent needed to change blades on the F but used these on all my other cars and they lasted very long with excellent results!

I bought GoodYear Assurance bladles at Costco yesterday. These are full replacement blades for next to nothing right now as they are $3 off.

I didn't like the look of them on the car because the clip is exposed and doesn't have a nice clean finish.

I endup taking the rubbler blade out of its bracket and putting it into the OEM lexus bracket.

Used them today as it was raining a bit here in Seattle. Worked flawlessly.

I'm also thinking of getting Aquapel for the windshield next.

i have tried the stock oem ones and the bosch icons. my icons skip or smear right where the arm applies pressure to the blade that area. It's really annoying and I don't know how to get rid of it. I have cleaned my windows time and time again with windex, and then wiped the blades down with the isoproplene alcohol and it's good for a few rainy days then comes back. I thought the icons were faulty so the shop warrantied it and they do the same thing...

I have better luck with the oem's but they also do the same after a week in the rainy driving season. Does anyone else have this issue. I just can't seem to get a clean wipe. I need to replace my oem refills every 6 months to minimize this..

How old is your car? It could be that other parts of the wiper need to be replaced, not just the rubber blade. Something must be preventing it from spreading out evenly across the windshield throughout its full range of motion. It might be one of two things:

1. The assembly that holds the rubber refill is no longer moving freely to conform to the windshield as pressure is applied by the wiper arm.

2. The springs that hold the wiper arms down are worn, so not enough pressure is applied.

I use aquapel on the glass. I'm still running the original blade inserts because I hardly ever turn them on.

Hey mike

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking it might be the spring or arm potentially cause when I changed to the Bosch icons, it was a fresh blade/assembly and it did the same thing.

My first is a 2012.
