Default Hear Clunk When Turning Wheel At Low Speed

On my way back from Englishtown Raceway I hit a nasty "lump" where the asphalt seems to have buckled up in the road. I don't seem to have bent a rim because I'm not getting any vibration in my steering wheel or pedals at any speed (I've had it at 100+ since to check). However, when I was backing out of a parking spot at the store and turning my wheel I heard a clunk. When taking a slow right at the end of the aisle I heard another clunk. I don't hear it when I am going down the road and and turn the wheel from side to side nor did I hear it when I was parking my car.

I am about to take a long trip and would rather not drive with this issue. I'm kind of leaning to a tie rod or something along those lines. Anybody experience something like this before?

what year is your F? I have a 2012 and the closest thing I've had to your description is my diff slipping. when I turn my wheel to lock at low speeds the diff slips and I get a click/clunk. I don't get it often but It concerned me when I first experienced it and I took it to mt dealership and had service advisor ride with me in the parking lot. he confirmed its the diff. Dunno if it would be the same with pre 2010? with the electronic diff though.

I also have a 2012 and thought about that as well but I haven't heard this sound prior to today after I nailed that bump. I'm taking it to the dealership on Tuesday to have them check it out. I don't feel any vibrations or noises so I'm kind of stumped here. I'm hoping it's nothing serious. I'm taking a 500 mile road trip with the fam and don't need to get stuck on the interstate in the middle of no where.

Could it be a wheel bearing? Don't know how susceptible those are when it comes to bumps. Was thinking that tie rod or a CV joint.

I have an 11 and posted a thread about a similar noise. Turned out to be be the bushings doing something when the wheel was at a full turn. I usually heard it in the morning when I backed out of my driveway

I guess I'll have to wait and see if they find anything at the dealership. Just my luck considering I've had my KWs on for all of a week.
