Plenty of ISF owners here are well into the 70,80,90, and even 100K range with little to no issues. There is an extended warranty thread here you can get to by using the search function. IMO it is hit or miss some members have used it well, others have had no issues and don't have extended. If I'm not mistaken it is around $1800 for an additional 3 years (on top of factory warranty) and 75K miles. The extended warranty is pretty much an extension of the factory warranty.

Regarding issues, there have been 2 documented issues where F owners have had their transmissions replaced. It is recommended to keep the car in D mode (won't let you shift at WOT when the car is cold) until the car is fully warmed up. That is with any car anyway. You will love the ISF, the combination of rarity, reliability, speed, luxury, handling can't be beat IMO. I go to meets all the time, my car is stock except for exhaust, and it still breaks so many necks, since they are so rare. Good luck with your decision!

Previously owned 335i coupe with Dinan Stage 2 tune. When car was working it was ridiculously fast, however didn't work well for long periods of time. Traded it for IS-F a couple years ago. No regrets and like other members I would agree you can't beat responsiveness of N/A V8 and reliability of Lexus.

pretty much fact.....certainly some arguments to be made for a 335, but ^^^^^this all day. if any of these are at all important to you, then its a simple answer if you ask me!

Consensus on this forum seems to be that while extended warranty is available, it is not necessary. My '11 F came used, with 10,000 miles, and I had pretty much decided to buy an extended warranty down the road. Now I'm not so sure. Lexus just don't break.
