Default One hell of a day..

Story time guys! So woke up this morning expecting to receive tutor from 10-12 then go do my photo shoot in los angeles at 5pm ish. Tutor cancelled, so I hit up my photographer to go shoot at 12.. so I went to go wash my car and what not blah blah, drove to LA and parked at the spot.. (Oh yeah, and since I just got my wheels back I forgot to reset my tpms and I was trying to the whole morning but decided to do it when I got back home.. big mistake) So at the spot I noticed my back passenger tire looked super flat.. I thought it was at the angle I was parked but nope, tire was super low.. drove to a gas station and inflated the tire, and drove around LA for another 30 minutes and checked the tire and it was fine.. Got back onto the freeway going 80 and my car started to wobble.. so in my mind I was like oh f***, so I pulled over to the right shoulder somehow.. and I swear as soon as I stopped, I saw my tire fly past me from my drivers side.. So I knew I blew my tire.. First time so I was tripping the hell out. I get out of my car, look at my wheel, and my freshly powdercoated wheels, ruined. great. LOL. So I called triple A out, told them to bring a flatbed since I can't tow it, and then I realized my lug keys were at home and my tire shop is a good 15 minutes away.. So i had to find a friend that was willing to stop by my house and bring the keys to my tire shop. Anyways, when the tow truck arrived.. the driver stared at my car for a good 5 minutes then told me my cars too low, Triple A doesn't tow modified cars , so great I was screwed. But I managed to convince him to tow my car and cover the costs through triple A :P. Got to the tire shop and didn't want to get Hankook v12 cause I heard bad stuff about them on the forums so I got some Bridgestone Re11, 255/275 I payed 1480 out the door, rip off? Was looking at the prices online and looks like I can get the same pair for 700..? Yeah I know this paragraph has a bunch of misplaced commas and periods LOL. Input would be nice.. but yeah I'll post some unofficial photoshoot pics..

That really sucks...so did the tire just loose enough air that it ran flat and shredded? Or was the tire bald on the sides? Couldn't really tell the condition of the tires in your photoshoot.

Is the rim salvageable/useable or is it trashed?

Tirerack has those tires for 1200, plus shipping and install. Dont think it was that much of a rip off, where did you see them at for 700?

Dang, thats awful, mess up the rim bad? I did that in a Mach 1 and the sidewall held up decent enough to avoid rim damage.

1450 for 4 tires is actually not bad, don't forget there are all these additional costs around like shipping, CA Tax, mounting, alignment if needed be.

I discovered my rear left tire was flat one day when the car was in the garage. Long story short, a screw got into it.

The following advice is based on my real experience, however it may damage the TPMS sensor, use at your own risk!

I had a fix a flat can in my trunk trunk. Most tire shops don't like cleaning up the goo that it puts inside the tire, but you can inflate the tire and be back in action very quickly. In my case the Lexus dealership was able to clean it and fix the tire. They did however manage to put a small scrape on the inside lip, which made me very upset.

*** I would use it if you're stuck somewhere far away from civilization/emergency etc. It's better to pop the spare tire. ***
