I wasn't talking about reliability. I was referring to endgame's comment about how "the M MIGHT outperform the F." There is no might, the M does outperform. The F is a great car and I absolutely love mine. But if I wanted a raw, luxury, sports car and a track monster, I'm not even considering the Lexus over the M and would have kept my M. Not to mention, the manual gearbox available in the M. Having owned both, that is just my view.

The Ms haven't outperformed the F since 2011.

You have a 2008 like mine. Own MY 2011 onwards before you make any assertions. They are on par if not better than the M.

F and M are neck and neck numbers-wise. I haven't driven an M but I hear that the low end tq in the F is what makes it a better DD. I just wish they would offer a 6spd or 7spd manual transmission in the RCF or '15 ISF but it's not going to happen.

yea theres a reason why theres a big price jump on 2011+ vs 08-10 ISF. Lot of major changes. On Car and Drivers Lightning Lap the 2011 ISF had the same time as the 2011 M3, where in the previous years the F was behind it. The suspension update made it a lot better

All I know is I CUSHED several e90/e92 /e46 M3's at VIR. This was in the blue group which was the intermediate group so similar drivers. Also my F outperformed B7 RS4's with top of the line performance coil over suspensions and pirelli zero corsas. My F is bone stock with a GT-spec strut tower brace and pilot super sports. All of these cars are really separated by driver.

I concur with you about e90/e92 M3's, the funny thing is when I first got my F alot of M3's would challenge me that is no longer case where I live actual whether at track or on street they know longer as cocky when they approach me

Sorry Seth but this is just not true. Hop in a 2012 and you will see it is another animal when compare to the 2008.

The suspension and limited slip differential have had a major impact on performance. I have owned my last Bimmer. They absolutely are one big marketing hype.

The F is a superior car. . Most car reviewers that I have read lean to the F as well.

With that said, if the letter M is in your auto alphabet, go for it.

Unless I have missed something the Lexus is still meant to be sticking with a V8 so it might attract a fair number of new followers who don't want the Straight 6 M3 with artificial engine noise being played over the speakers.

After reading some of comments these M fanboys were saying about how cool it is and what great idea it is, makes me laugh it was these same type that blasted F for having what they considered fake exhaust tips they still talk trash about today. Having to induce fake exhaust note now that my friends is major FAIL and on M3/4 to boot what was BMW thinking. Imagine if Lexus did this holy crap the outcry from multitudes of M/AMG etc fanboys would being defining.

Can't wait to mess with some of my friend that currently own M3's that are getting new model when it comes out. Time to come up with some good old fashion ball busting swipes like " Hey I heard if you upgrade to new Akrapovic Ess Woofer it adds 20 horses or is that decibel?" Or "is it true if you add Tune to your Tunes it will make you faster" let hears of some of your jabs, our M brethren have been busting our ***** for few years now it's their turn lol.
