ABS is based on wheel speed. I guess the ABS computer will engage much sooner or not working properly since it thinks you are going faster than you really are. I have seen other cars having traction control/abs light on issue due to 1+ inch increase or decrease in overall rolling dia. Your mph reading will also be higher than actual speed. Plus mileage will be more than actual distance traveled. Why not just roll with 255 40 18 to match with stock size?

This thread of mine might be helpful.... but as you can see, I'm running 18x9.5" +40 offset wheels and 275/35/18's front and rear with minimal rubbing issues up front even lowered on BCR's.... Hope this helps!
