It really is up to the shop that's performing the smog check. Years ago, I went to one with my borla catback, they just looked in the engine bay and plugged the car in and passed me. The tech did say "I know your car is modded, but don't trip". Two years later, I went back and then they decided to look under the car and noticed I didn't have my primary cats and told me to go some where else that'll pass me. I've also been to one smog shop that has never seen an ISF before and they thought I did some sort of motor swap. They were so confused...

To be clear, would it be possible to pass by adding the headers and then adding CARB compliant cats like these?

No not possible as any other headers for this car are not carb compliant

I do think I have cracked headers though and I'm constantly debating if I should get the PPE headers w/ hi-flow cats, but it would be an expensive venture if I wasn't able to pass smog... At the same time, spending all that money on stock headers for 0 gain would suck too
hey brotha where do you get your car smog'ed at? located in socal near the 626 and need to smog my car along with registration
