My bet is some bad gas. Probably run through this tank and clear the code.

I agree. Bad fuel can cause havoc with fuel systems and sensors.

Yeah your guess is probably correct tbh.

Even though I'm working in Saudi Arabia (the Oil capital of the world) we still get *****ty gas believe it or not.

The best we can get here is 95 octane which is closer to 93. Even then you have to be careful from which gas station you fill up from.

Sand in the gas is a big possibility......sand is everywhere here

Well it's back again:

Started driving home from work and within 5 mins the light pops up.

The last time the dealers took it they just cleared the codes and it never came back, in Sept I installed headers and the car is still running strong with no issues. Even with this light on the car felt the same.

BUT I do believe its down to bad gas because I just recently filled at a different gas station to the usual one I go to and I'm sure it's because of that.

I'm going to empty the tank, clear the code and top up in my regular place and see what happens:

I'm still surprised how you guys don't have this error code, but it could be unnecessary in the states since gas is probably cleaner than here.

That's terrible! We might not get the highest octane fuel here in the States, especially California, but I'm glad we don't have this bad fuel issue.

Odd I plugged in my OBD reader and no codes came up, so I haven't been able to clear the sign.

I filled up with new gas yesterday so I'll see if that helps in getting ride of it.

If that doesn't help I'll try adding some higher octane gas

Maybe it's some sort of 10,000 km setting for "Injector Cleaning" in your region..

How many km's does it take to receive the Oil Maintenance reminder warning.??

Here in the states, we get the reminder every 5,000 miles after reset.

Well so far I've done my oil maintenance at 5k, 10k and then 20k km.

The only reason my oil maintenance reminder warning comes on is because I set it up to remind me from the car computer.

When I tried taking my car in for service at 15k (i.e. every 5k km) they told me I don't need it and I should change it at 20k.

Anyway what you're suggesting is a possibility but I doubt it. I think I'm just going to drive it like this for a while and see if with time and different fuel if it makes the warning go off.

If not then I'll take it to the dealers.

I know your frustration but US F owners don't have the issue. Why not just take it to the dealer n let thrm figure it out. Just my 0.2

Main reason I'm not bothered to take it to the dealers right now is because I won't have my car for a day and I know all they'll do is clear the code and bring it back to me. (that's what they did last time).

The car feels fine and I just want to give the new fuel sometime to run through the engine to see if that will automatically switch the light off, so that I know for next time if it's because of bad gas that I get this warning light.

Does anyone have any idea how I can go about deleting this light from my dash?

Disconnect the battery?

Well I went to the dealers yesterday, showed them the injector maintenance light and the tech told me "ohh yea they should have switched that off when you came in for maintenance."

I told him my car came in for service 3 weeks back and there were no signs.

So anyway he got into my car, kept pressing the brake and switching the lights on and off (certain procedure) and took off the warning sign.

I asked him why did it come up? is it from bad gas? and he just said no "it just comes up and you have to switch if off"

what a bunch of bs.

Does anyone know of an easy way for cleaning the injectors?

could I just top off my fuel tank with those additives that supposedly clean your engine? like the items below?:

Firstly, I'm kinda worried you took the photo while driving at 108km/h, haha!

Dealer sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about, are there other Lexus dealers you can bring your car to? I'd be hesitant about putting those products in a ISF, as mentioned the fuel delivery system is quite sophisticated in this car and the last thing you want is for those chemicals to cause a problem.
