Owned both 2009 z06 and 2011 IS-F. I dearly miss my z06. Sold it to go back to finish my masters degree, and had regrets every since.
For those who comment and have never driven the LS-x line engines don't know what they are talking about. As cheap as they are built, they are one of the most economical supercars ever built. Nothing beats the looks, prestige, and heritage of the vettes.
Congrats on the new purchase, absolutely love the colour!!

Hey if you like it that's what matters not what we think, you should find a Corvette form now I'm sure there is lot's of them because that car has a good size following.

corvettes have horrible interiors - typical GM rental chintzy. c7 finally raises up the game, but still falls short and makes sense - there's a sizable pricing gap.

Notice how the few people on here who have owned both the vette and F are defending the Vette.
Like I said, the way they drive and the feeling you get when driving is just indescribable and offers something the F can't.
Not to mention the aftermarket availability. The sky is the limit with these cars. Cam only LS3s make 470-480whp...
Not here to say the Vette is a better car because in many aspects it is not, but it seems everyone who has owned both agrees the Vette is more fun.

Vette definitely has more modding potential! The thing is they are a dime a dozen. Everytime I see a vette on the road it doesnt give any special feeling or make me do a double take. You expect to see some old fart wearing an american flag tee shirt driving it. Everytime I have seen an F on the road(twice! lol) my eyes are drawn to it and I have to look again.

Congrats on the new car...at first I was like wth why do that trade? But looking at the numbers and plus the manual to boot I understand you. I have personally always liked corvettes, but like others have said Z06 or ZR1 only for me.
You still have the power, slightly better handling and you can mod the hell out of it to get faster. Of course I still prefer the IS-F but I'm not going bash you here.![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Enjoy the car

IMO, the majority of the general public still doesn't even know what an "F" is. Those that do tend to look at Lexus as "overpriced" Toyotas while drooling over the typical high performance offerings from Germany or America. This is why the current approach of Lexus is to erase that stigma of being a perceived vanilla luxury brand.
