OP - You've posted the same issue twice. Se my response in the other thread.

No cats is an emissions issue (as you know) and the dealership will be obligated to fix that. I know that you'd probably never driven an ISF before you test drove yours, but I'm surprised the sound and smell didn't alert you to the fact that something wasn't right. Whoever traded that car in must have really been eager to get rid of it. I'd definitely do a thorough inspection to make sure nothing else is modified. Compare it to a stock ISF if you can find one.
A header swap and finding new cats won't be cheap for the dealership.

At this point, if the dealer is no the seller, I would retrieve the car from the dealer and take it to a good exhaust shop. ask them if they can fix the rubbing and install some hi-flow cats, something like a set of MagnaFlows. If the seller is a retail establishment, you do have redress against them. If it's a private party, there's always small claims court.

Well if you want to keep the modified exhaust system and headers... All you have to do is attempt to have the headers re-aligned...
If you demand the car be put back to OEM specifications, the dealership will be spending approx. $5,700 in parts to replace back the Left Manifold, Right Manifold, OEM Midpipe and OEM Axle section..
This does not include labor..
Of course none of this will be a cost to you since it was a dealership purchase...
You will lose approx. 60 Rwhp in this process..![Sad](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)

What a nightmare. Sorry to hear as I went thru dealer crap as well when picking up my isf.
I'd highly dislike having cheaped out aftermarket components on my car. I want oem grade goods. Very poor parts ecosystem for the F - there's no money in it.

Well, that's the good news. The dealer screwed up. IMHO, you want to keep the headers. What exhaust is installed, I assume it's a third part dual system since both sets of cats are gone. Probably a JoeZ or Borla. Try to keep that. Have the dealer weld in a set of HiFlow cats and as JoeZ suggested above, realign the headers. That is, unless you want to return it to stock. As has been suggested, if you do this you'll lose about 50 wheel horsepower.
Try to ignore ROK, he believes no modifications should ever be performed on an ISF, and I assume any car. But, that is his opinion, not the opinion of 99% of forum members.
