Default 2011 Lexus ISF rubbing sound when turning left

Picked up a 2011 lexus ISF 2 weeks ago and notice a rubbing sound when making a left turn. It only happens when I excelerate. I took it to the dealer and they told me its tire noise. I don't believe them. Any ideas?

I visually inspect and cannot see any signs of rubbing. The car is stock.

Congrats on purchase.

I too have a 2011 and don't have any such noise - take it to another dealer. Tires should not rub on the stock suspension. Are you sure the car was not lowered by the previous owner?

BTW - Not sure if it is your front or rear that is making the noise, but I learned pretty quickly that on RWD cars accelerating from a stop, even moderately, while turning can cause some wheel spin/chirping from the inside rear wheel.

Thanks Vervish. I'm not sure if it was lowered. The noise is coming from the front passenger when I make the left turn while excelarating.

Check if your car has Sikky headers. Some members have this issue with the fitment. I had the dealership trim the bolt that hits the body frame but still not perfect. They will replace this bolt when I go back there.

I bought mine from a lexus dealer in late June - pretty much mint condition with 15K miles. I paid $50K, was originally listed for $54K.

I dropped off the car this morning to check out the rubbing noise. I purchased the car with 22k miles and they are already replacing steering shaft.

I bought the car from a lexus dealership with 22k miles for $48k. Is that a good deal?

If for some reason I have headers on the car will it void my warranty?

if you bought it from a lexus dealer i'm sure they would've noticed that and if you do find it has headers the lexus dealer should've disclosed anything that would've violated the warranty prior to purchase.

I just received a call from the dealership and sure enough the car has an aftermarket exhaust. I am not sure what they going to do but I told them I need it replace.

Ask them to take a pic and email it to you. You may want to keep it. The factory exhaust sucks. It can't be the reason for the noise. I would consider myself lucky if I was you.
