Yep, the cat's out of the PPE bag. There is a new exhaust coming with what I have dubbed a dual mode muffler. The muffler will have two outlets. One always flowing, and the other, electronically controlled will activate when needed.

As much as I love my modified stock exhaust, I will be the test mule for the PPE new exhaust system. I'll report my findings.

Not really. It drones a bit at highway speeds but, my music is pretty loud usually. It sounds really, really good in my opinion. Here's a quick fly-by video of my setup:

I don't understand why so many people act surprised that they get more horsepower from either PPE/Sikky headers on the IS F.

Of course there will be more horsepower...the catalytic converters are gone/removed. Basically it's like the car has straight pipes (if you are running an aftermarket exhaust too).

No restrictions, better flow, more horsepower.

Anyway, have fun with new mod!

Look at Post #9.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...n-exhaust.html

I have PPE and I customs fabricated exhaust with modified stock mufflers and resonators. WITH Catalytic Converters. And, I produce more power. It's the headers and the fact that I went with a full dual exhaust. PPE headers make the power, although the lack of the cats do contribute.

Now, let's see what I can do with PPEs new exhaust - and YES I plan to use Catalytic Converters with that exhaust too.
