I hope I don't get beat up over this. I'm looking at intakes to buy for my F.

which one of these are the best? which gives the most hp gains? if there are any other good ones please let me know

KNN typhoon

From what I have read - no aftermarket intake consistently adds HP, most lose some. In either case the increase/decrease is pretty small 2-3 HP. I would stay stock with a drop in filter. Unless you want the intake for the engine bling and extra induction noise. I personally like the Takeda's design.

None of them will provide you gains you can really feel, so go with whichever one looks best to you. I like the look of the JoeZ pipe.

Stick with stock or a stock design like the JOEZ.

as everyone has said above, intakes don't give you much power and sometimes loss you some power.

If I remember correctly last time I saw a comparison between just changing a drop in filter and keep the OEM one, the OEM one can out better.

Personally I've installed a Joe-Z intake tube, just the tube and nothing else, the filter is OEM.

Joe-Z, HPS, or stock w/di filter.

If you want noise or "fun factor," Injen > Takeda > K&N (for the well marketed "cone" intakes)

I have the Takeda, and luv it to death. You might want to look here:

Don't think too hard on this one.

For function, get either the Joe Z or HPS pipe. HPS is made of silicone which may or may not make a difference in terms of heat soak. Both will be less restrictive than the stock pipe.

For form, the Injen or any cone-style intake would be what you're looking for, but be prepared to see close to zero gains with the added growl.

I think its all personal preference. I only went with the JOE Z since I got a killer deal on it. I was told from other members who are running takeda or the K&N that they love their intakes, especially when you get on the throttle. Mostly for the sound factor though... with intakes, you're going to see minimal to no gains, so again, personal preference. You want noise under the hood, then go with takeda or k&n. You want that stock look and fitment but knowing you could possibly be gaining 1 or 2hp, then go with Joe Z or HPS

Not really, the Takeda is pretty well sealed, and utilizes the stock secondary air flap.

You really can't go wrong with any of the aftermarket intakes available for the F. There will always be a personal preference among the current owners, so it will all come down to two things: 1) price, and 2) use of the secondary air inlet. Of the three listed, I would agree and say Takeda is the best of what you've come down to. Many users have the Joe Z and it's great. Intakes alone won't yield anywhere close to a dramatic HP bump or a significant change in the butt dyno, but it does add a little something in the engine bay. I wouldn't consider SRT, as I've heard numerous bad reviews about that intake when the F was first in the market and owners were seeking aftermarket parts for it. Best of luck!
