caller id doesn't work
Hi All!
I have done a lot of research and tried all the different recommendations. I currently use a samsung note 2 cellphone and I can't seem to get the caller id on the Lexus navi screen to show up. It will show me the phone number, but will not register the name.
I have tried:
-transfering all contacts to the car
-use bluetooth apps to send contact cards over to the car.I get an error message on my phone "service not found. you can't connect with target device because it lacks Object Push profile..."
-followed the instructions in the owners manual booklet
The phone function does everything properly, even recognizes dial by name, but just can't seem to get the caller ID part right. I spoke to my dealership and they said Lexus can't recognize caller ids and said there isn't anything i can do about it. I find that a little weird.
I have a 2012 isf if matters.
Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same problem. The phone number shows but not the ID. I tried all sorts of resets, "Forget the phone" in bluetooth settings, etc. I have an iPhone 5S, T-Mobile. I wonder if the problem is the iOS7. Amazing there are no solutions here. Where is Lexus?

I posted this problem years ago, and it affects not only ISFs but other Lexus models as well.
My caller ID worked fine for I guess 3 years, all of the sudden it stopped showing names, it decided to show numbers only. It took me a long time to understand the problem, and I traced it back to an iOS update on my iPhone. I don't remember what iOS version I was running at the time, but after the update it was the last one that worked.
What's happening is that my 1000+ contacts have their phone numbers registered with the country code (I make a lot of international calls and travel abroad, so I need the codes). So for instance a number in Miami will look like +1 305 555 5555. When I transfer the phone's address book to the car it keeps the codes, so everything is OK so far. With the old iOS version, an incoming call, regardless of the country, would transfer the call to the car (by BT) including the country code, so I could see the name, even when the call was from outside the US. After the iOS update, the incoming call is transferred to the car by BT but the country code is removed, that's why I see the number 305 555 5555 and it doesn't match the entry +1 305 555 5555 on my car's address book. Solution? To edit all my contacts and remove the country code... no way! So I've been driving with this problem for almost 3 years already. I guess Androids are affected too. Why it worked before and not now? Maybe a change in BT rules? I guess I was running BT version 1 or 2 back then and we're in version 4 now?

Caller ID works great with Windows phone 8. No issues at all and that's on an '08 with Gen 5 nav. It also reads texts and asks me if I want to respond by voice to text. Just like magic.

Hey fellas!
I found the fix for my vehicle. I will start by stating what equipment I have.
Note 3 with kit kat v4. 4.2
2012 isf
I just simply added a "+" in front of every phone number in the phone and then transfered the phone book over via blue tooth like you normally would to the vehicle. No spaces between area code and number. No brackets for the area codes. No hyphens.
Ex. +16041234567
I hope this helps some people if not all out. Every one of my contacts show up on the caller Id when there is an incoming call with their name and phone number )

Yes. I edited My phone book on my phone first then transferred it over to the car
You can try one contact and test it first. If it works, correct them all. If it doesn't, at least you didn't was time.
