Default Think I'll qualify for the 2011 headlight TSB?

I know it's not as bad as other owners have posted on here, but I thought I'd see if you guys thought I'd be able to get in on the 2011 headlight TSB. It's starting to bubble the black tape on both sides, but it's not major...yet. Seems like they would go ahead and fix it since they'll just do it down the road anyway.

What do you guys think?

Up to the dealer/service manager. My coworkers 11 IS350 F Sport had the same as what you're showing and the service manager ordered him brand new headlights.... doesn't hurt to get it replaced since the dealer is just down the road from you

I called and the guy I spoke with had never heard of this happening. Said it was probably due to improper install or aftermarket lights. I told him it was all factory and he had no idea. He said to bring it up when I came in for my next service.

^ hasnt heard or it or maybe you are the first person to notice and report it? Either way the TSB should cover you. I have a 2012 and notice the same thing happening to my lights. Im waiting till they release the 2014 models so I could try to get those in place of my bubbled 2012's. GL with your claim bro!

Mention the bubble and show to them. They will find the TSB and have to replace them for free. Dont let them try to put it on you by claiming the aftermarket crap!

I just checked my 2012 headlights and I have this too. Mine have small bubbles, not waves like the OP has.

Came across this:

the pic they have is pretty much exactly like mine. Printed it off and I'm gonna take it to them.

I bought my ISF through CarMax, would I be able to make a claim through my local dealer if I am not on the original factory warranty?

Since their is a tsb on the lights you should be able to bring it to any dealer. I bought my car from a toyota dealership down in delaware and the dealer that replaced the lights is in massachusetts

no, TSBs are applicable only if you're within the 4 year/50k original warranty.
you can always see if your dealer will agree to a goodwill the repair.

After a series of my emails going to my service mans spam box and me not getting replies, he got back with me toys and told me he ordered the lights. Glad this was as easy as it turned out to be! Need to order the new fogs so it all matches now

^^I already had mine replaced 2 days ago. Hopefully the headlights with eyelashes that I got wouldn't have the same issue. Guys with with new headlights in the 2IS forum said it has the same defect too.
