I've had both in stock sizes. On PSS now. I would not say there is a night and day difference between them except the RE050As wear a bit better. I haven't tracked with the PSS yet, so I don't know how they are at the limit, but for street driving I doubt anyone would instantly know the difference in a blind test. They're both very good tires for the street.

Michelins have always been very sticky tires, I think that will be my next set

I recently chose b/w Bridgestone RE11 and Michelin SS (245/30/19 & 275/35/19).
I chose the Michelin's because (at the time) they were cheaper and came with a rebate.
my opinion on the upsized SS compared to the stock Bridgestone RE050A: SS are better in every way--high speed stability, traction out the dig, turning (I have IHE & coils so I needed that extra traction).
I'm going to try the RE11s for my next set of tires just to switch it up. Porsche guys love them.

I've been running the PSS in the 275/245 oversize configuration for ~400 miles now going from Yokohama Advan Sports. There is no comparison really. The Advan was a greasy tire until very warm. The PSS has outstanding grip from the get-go and only gets better. My only complaint about the PSS is there is slightly more jounce at high speeds when driving over bumps in the road. Road noise is much better and steering is sharper. I personally wouldn't look anywhere else. It's an awesome tire.
