@Figs, is the $1450 regular no adjustable valve exhaust in stock and ready for shipping? Also is 10% discount still going on?

here you guys go, this was with a sensitive mic, so it saturates when the flap is open. We will work on more sound bytes.

It's a promising start, sounds loud and aggressive but really can't tell with all the vibrations. Are u gonna get us a clip in the next couple days of the car driving, idling and revving out in the open? Also I'm waiting on ur email about my price quote. I emailed u last night from mrd300tt@gmail, let me know. Thanks

not likely as we are just getting out of a thaw and the exhaust is not on the car plus our wagon is on the lift. So its a few weeks out.

I will get some videos of the exhaust on the road with our headers installed. This will give a good idea of how it sounds on the street vs idle and revving. There really is a large difference between the open and closed on the valves.

Lou's car has our headers, and dual mode exhaust with the high-flow cats and resonators installed.

I'll try and get something to post late next week.

Prob a dumb question but is the regular exhaust gonna be the same volume as the adjustable exhaust when the valves are open?

Not a dumb question at all.

The regular exhaust is quieter than the dual mode exhaust with valve open. The effective muffler
Volume is larger for the regular exhaust.

The mufflers on the standard race exhaust are strait through perforated core with a stainless steel wool layer and filled with a premium German made fiberglass fill. The premium fill gives it a deep throaty sound.

Is the dual mode more quiet with the valve closed vs the regular exhaust?

Could you also comment on its volume level vs the borla exhaust?

My goal when I find my F is to get the most power with the least amount of noise. I definitely prefer a quiet ride but the option to open it up when I want is appealing

With the valves closed the sound is slightly more aggressive than stock. No drone inside at all.

I have installed a couple Borla systems with our headers and our Dual Mode system is quieter than the Borla with the valves closed and louder with the valves open.

Here's the first of the recent Video's for the PPE Dual Mode Exhaust. I am also posting one I did back in September of '13, the second video. The third one was made in June of last year. There is also one coming of the sounds inside the vehicle. I really wish they were better.

The auto mode throttle position based controller is available at an additional cost. The test set we took off our test IS-F has this controller if you are interested.

I had the First System on my F for a trial Run. This System was the Basic Dual Mode System with No Cats.

Since the Prototype was installed on my F, PPE has modified the Dual Mode Muffler to be more aggressive sounding when the valve is closed. Being more aggressive sounding, does not mean it sounds like the other third party exhausts. It's a lot tamer, and it has no resonance or drone. When open, however, there is noticeable drone or resonance at 2K RPM like the other after market systems. To me, when open, the drone is no worse than the JoeZ Exhaust with Headers and No Cats. And, when open, it is quite loud. As mentioned above, when standing behind two Fs, one with the PPE Dual Mode System in the open position, the other with a JoeZ System - At a distance of 6 to 8 feet, the only system heard is the Open PPE. If you like Open Straight Pipes - You'll love this! And, if you want to sooth the neighbors, you'll also love this system. A True Dual Personality System.
