Not sure if this is an issue or not but I've noticed the last few times when it has been really cold out in the morning (25 or so) the F doesn't do a cold start it just starts. I notice this especially if I haven't driven it for a couple days, anybody have a clue why it does this?
basically ya…cold start it usually goes to 1300 or so for 20 seconds and then slowly goes down to 1000, and of course the car is also pretty loud for those 20 seconds. I've noticed that sometimes it's not loud and will only go to 1100-1200 since it's gotten colder.
I was going to post this same exact question, I think it's normal. If it's freezing out and I start it, it won't idle high, it actually idles right above 1000rpm's before dropping right below 1k.
