IMHO, the Borla installation is a PITA. The clamping system is cheap and it's hard to align the pieces. There should be not welding involved, but with the Borla clamping system and the need to finesse it into place there could be a leak if it's not welded. For installation of the Borla, I would recommend an exhaust shop.
I had no problems installing mine in my driveway. Pretty simple and straight forward if you have the tools. For me the two hardest parts were getting the car high enough and removing/installing the sensors.

I completely disagree. I did mine in my garage. It took about an hour. Everything was super easy. Just be careful when the oem pieces come out. Its really heavy. You need a tool to take out the sensors. No welding involved.
