Question Weird Hesitation issue

This is an issue I've noticed maybe 2-3 months back.

When driving normally, usually cursing in 3rd gear around 4-5k rpm, a few second after I let go of the accelerator pedal the car does a weird hesitation and the rpms bogs down and then jumps back up (very very slightly).

It's as if the car just choked on bad gas or something.

Its a weird feeling, it never happens when I'm driving the car hard, it only comes when I'm cursing and just let of the gas it will hesitate for a second and then go back to normal.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

The only things I can think of is either Bad gas or bad injectors. Any ideas?

I won't attribute this to my headers or any other parts, as this problem was there a few weeks before the headers were put on.

last time I dealt with hesitation in a car it was the mass air flow meter. Use a mass air flow cleaner on the sensor and it should help (no not touch the sensor with your hand). Do you use an oiled air filter or dry? you see this a lot with the oiled filters if someone uses too much oil.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah I guess it could possibly be my MAF sensor, we have very sandy weather here.

I am using the OEM intake at the moment. I did have my Joe-z intake tube on (stock filter) a few weeks back but wanted to put it back to OEM to try and rule out any changes with the Joe-Z intake.

I had this hesitation issue well before installing the Joe-Z intake so there's nothing wrong with it in case anyone was wondering.
