I Blew my Diff in my 08 Isf, after doing a big smoky burnout …. actually it went all locker on me and was VERY tight , when i turned corners ,in to carparks etc, it would shudder…

Ended up shearing teeth off the idler gears and damaging the driveshafts..

I replaced diff centre and 2 drive shafts later…. all was fixed.. under warranty .!

Lance,

When you mention Supra subframe bushings, are you talking about these?

If so, Titan was able to installed these on my IS350 differential to eliminate potential wheel hop from my OS Giken Super Lock LSD and so far so good!

^^Those will help for sure. Think Design sells a kit with what looks like Delrin bushings for the same spot. It should help a lot with minimizing wheel hop. The hard core fix is the big bushings between the subframe and the body. http://www.titanmotorsports.com/soresumofort.html. Τhe increase in NVH could be pretty severe though.

might I suggest one of our new products? The rear mounts I should also have in a steel-plate reinforced with stiff poly hopefully midweek. I have done our drift car so far and making before and after videos. Then the F.

I also have some workable poly insert bushings for the subframe in test.

rear mounts will look similar to this.

I fully agree, you probably wheel hopped. I've only ever broke one diff, and it was an open diff believe it or not in the Aristo. Not quite sure, but that mother f wheel hopped like crazy on the stock suspension. When it finally gave it was when I put it in reverse and heard a nasty sound. Most of the wheel hop was when it was wet out and I gave it too much gas.

Anyways replaced it with a Torsen form a supra and installed Tien's and all my trouble went away and nothing but smiles while I drifted around best buy parking lots after a nice big snow dump...

Haha.

Man I wish my F had a real lsd.
