I'm not considering one, since i'm such a good driver and never speed and always make a full stop at stop signs...
More likely what it's going to catch over someone taking a joy ride in my car.

To all who think you can just install a dashcam and not have any concerns, I would HIGHLY suggest you check your state laws before you unwittingly commit a felony.

After looking at the site this can actually go both ways for a dashcam. We could consider the dashcam as a security feature just like security cameras we would install on our house. Wouldn't that be consider as protection of our property. Another thing is that as long as we don't play the audio part, is the video still valid? We'll most likely get harassed by cops and ticketed for having something hanging on the rearview mirror. Let's say there was an accident and we had it all recorded would that be consider as an evidence?
I was honestly shocked when I read the Georgia statute. I really thought there would be no issues, but when you dig into this, there are some really bizarre cases where the person responsible for recording got screwed.

Here is a perfect example why people don't completely trust dealers with there cars.

Honestly I dont see anything crazy that he was doing.
A rev here and there. gave it some gas here and there... honestly I would just be happy someone else enjoyed my baby without damaging it.
The only issue i had was when he start coughing like crazy -__- nasty....
But hey thats just me

Because so much of law is decided by precedent, the only way to know is to ask an attorney familiar with this subject what applies in your state. The last thing you want is to have what you believe to be supporting evidence turned on its head with a criminal charge against you for illegally recording. And there is no way anyone here can say what is true for everyone in the US. All the states have different approaches, not to mention anyone in another country would be wise to ensure it is not a violation of local/national law to record without consent.

I am pretty sure you guys dont follow the LS460 forum but I have a little story.
I took my car to dealership for a vibration problem. they had my car for 23 days, put 642 miles on it test driving, damaged my windshield that was only 2 days old when I took the car in, told me they couldnt diagnose the problem even they felt the issue, and then told me to F off when I complained.
Still wish I can see the video. Why is it not available???
