So I got a new rear diff and new rear axles for my 08. Now I need a rubber flexible coupling that goes on the end of the driveshaft and the rear diff. Problem is Lexus doesn't sell these separate and it doesn't have a part number. I was told that I would have to buy a new driveshaft or find a scrap one, per Lexus parts dept. He did tell me that one out of a GS300 or SC430 might work but wasn't sure. These two have part numbers but uncertain if they are a direct replacement. My wrench looked at mine and said it has hairline cracks in it and needs to be replaced.
So do I try to source a scrap drive shaft? Look to see if the other two would work, ie size and dimensionally? Look into the aftermarket, which I don't believe anyone makes this? Have a new one made of polyurethane by a machine shop?
I'm at a loss and hope someone might have some insight on this.

Toyota/Lexus use that same flex coupling for Supras, SCs of all kinds, GS, and LS (earlier generations). They now only sell the coupler as part of a complete driveline. I'd bet a lot of money they're the same. If it wasn't 7 degrees outside, I'd jack up the Supra and measure for you.
Do you have a way to accurately measure the distance across the pins and the diameter?

I spoke to mike at FIGS and he said that it is only sold as a complete unit due to it being bonded/sealed so to speak. He did also state that his had hairline cracks in his when they swapped the rear diff and they have 40k miles on without issue after the swap. might have it put back together and test drive to see if the thud noise is still there and go from there. lobuxracer, I don't have a way to get accurate measurements. thoughts?

I can jack up both cars and take some measurements. If you had the unit off already, it's usually easier.
I have no idea about it being bonded together. I do know it doesn't matter what market your car belongs to - North American, European, Japan, International - none of the parts breakdowns show the coupling separated from the drive shafts. TIS says to inspect the doughnuts and if they are damaged, replace the entire unit. Hairline cracks are pretty common on these.
