Default Rear rotor replacement

Hello,

I was wondering if changing the rear rotor is the same as front. I assume you have the parking brake off and then rotor comes off smoothly. I'm changing all for tomorrow and just running through the process. Also, what are the torque specs for the front and rear caliper to assembly? Thanks in advance.

Default Rear rotors

Make sure you pop out the rubber grommet, and release the spin the parking brake adjustment to release the rotor. If you don't, it will tough to get the rotor off, and you may damage something. Don't forget to return it to the original position when you replace the rotor.

You can see the adjustment :thingy" in this thread.

I have almost 100k miles on the original rear rotors and they're not even half worn. Yours are worn out?

Quite True ... I am upset at myself I bought the Raybestos Rear Rotors thinking they are identical as OEM... but if for the life of the car I just need to replace once I do not know why I did not spend the extra coin just knowing they are the OEM Brembo.

I know the Rotors look identical but deep down in the manufacturing the quality checks, tooling used and metal composition COULD be different.

I have zero rust on my rotors ... hope the Raybestos treats me the same!

Good point, I actually did not check cause they looked really grooved out. I just changed the front but did not feel like changing the rears. At least the car is no longer squealing. I'll keep the rear parts for when it is time, plus I'll check the thickness.
