Default Stereo no recognizing new song on iphone / songs freezing

I downloaded a new song to my iphone yesterday, yet the NAV/Stereo does not see it. I checked under songs and artists and it's not there. iphone connected via USB cable.

2. Today, I played another song, and it froze on me.

Anyone else?

Sounds more like an iPhone issue. Maybe you had a bad download?

As a test, I created a playlist on the phone with just that particular song. The car sees the playlist, but the song isn't there. Maybe you're right.

I guess I need to hook the phone to a computer and delete the song.

What a hassle...oh well.

I decided to conduct another test. I tried to download the same song from my work iphone, only to see it does not even appear on the phone itself.

At this point I think I will start experimenting with downloading songs for free from youtube to USB.

It's something with the iphone.

I will buy another random song just for the heck of it, and see if the car sees that.

iTunes, directly from the phone, then plug the phone to the car.

There is no A2DP for '08 MY cars. Gen 5 nav does not support anything but calls and address book maintenance with the phone. No audio except through the aux input with a wire, unless you buy an iPhone kit (if you have an iPhone).

There are
BT modules BT modules
you can buy and plug into the aux port for A2DP. You will likely need a ground loop isolator on the aux input for this to work without alternator noise. If your car is still under warranty, you can get this done by Lexus. If not, you'll need to have it done by someone familiar with electronic devices and automotive wiring.
