Just curious about which porsche models the IS-F is faster than and can outperform?

Good thread... the 991 Carreras, 997/991 Turbo/GT3 will spank the F. Base model 997 Carreras are slow. Cayman S or R would win around turns but F has it in a straight line. Not sure about the others.

My brother has a 997TT. It has a flash and an exhaust now, but it would have been fun to run him if he was stock just for kicks. They are supposed to trap ~122mph in stock form.

almost any porsche will own an F on a road course. high end 911s and the hyper cars will take it in the straights

Funny that this thread just popped up. My buddy literally picked up a Cayman this morning and was asking if his Cayman could take my F. He got the smaller motor in the base Cayman so I am pretty sure I will dust him

New Cayman S is good for 12.7 1/4 so i'm thinking the base is probably a 13-13.5 car. ISF should take it in a straight line.

My 996TT spanks the F handily.

At Virginia International Raceway the M3 and 2011 IS F are tied. The 08 IS F is considerably slower. Some interesting cars are behind the IS F - Porches, Corvettes, Mustangs, BMWs, Mercedes...

Not too sure about road courses but in straight lines I'm pretty sure a Panamera 4S/Turbo (excluding the Executive model), almost any 911 (excluding the Cabriolet/4 Cabriolet, Macan Turbo (excluding S model), and the Cayenne Turbo or Turbo S (excluding all other models). Again, this is only based on paper times. Some models come very close in times with the F and with times that close, that will come to the driver skill.

I have personally ran against a Boxer S, Cayman, a 2002 Carrera, and I beat those models in a straight line. For fun, I went against a 911 Turbo, and that thing dusted me like I was standing still.... I knew he would, never did I think I had a chance but I didn't care.... Was amazing to hear the sound of that car as it blew past me!!!

I think in road courses, most Porsches would win. They handle very well and you can push them quite easily...

Any 997/991 GT and Turbo model will take the ISF in a straight line.. almost all Porsches should be able to out handle the ISF but depending on their HP is when they can out take the ISF on a road course.

This is based on same driving skill for both cars.

I ran against a 997 S on the freeway the last week and would say it was about dead even. Came down to who was dumber. He won.
