Thanks, I will look into it.. However, mine's CPO. Is it eligible?

His number is

Thanks, I'll check this one out too..

I'm certainly not against an extended warranty if the price is right

I've read Jerry Johnson was said to be $100 cheaper than Troy isn't selling warranties out of state anymore, so like I8ABMR posted,Troy Dietrich is the guy to go with.
(413) 773-5455.Toyota of Greenfield in Massachusetts.
I've bought from Troy in the past.

Bought my '08 used with an extended platinum warranty (6yr/100k) - it expires in 3 months and I'm still 46k miles short on mileage so I'm thinking of looking into another extension if I can swing it for reasonable coin.

Don't recall what all's been done under it, but most recently my nav went out and they told me it would have cost about $3k if not for the warranty.

I asked myself all the same questions when I purchased mine a few months ago. Mine is an '08 CPO with only 15k miles (that's right, that's not a type-o) which came with the standard 3-year/60k miles but I bought the extension for 6-years/100k miles as well as the wheel & tire care package. After pricing out the cost/replacement of one of those wheels I figured $800 for 5-years worth of coverage was WELL WORTH IT!!! Like many others have said, for these cars (and all the electronics) a few extra thousand for several years of peace-of-mind and coverage if/when you need it was enough to sell me.

Just saved my @ss with a new cluster instrument replacement due to speed needle half faded.

The replacement costs ~ $1,300.

Troy Dietrich is unbeatable, and only sells factory extended warranties. No third party BS.

Why risk it ?? In the end the warranties are refundable and prorated so theres no risk if you need to sell or trade the car down the line. Id say its a no brainer. One issue with the suspension, or some random electrical issue could easily run you in the thousands. I guess I like stress free motoring.
Hi,

Which dealer does Troy Dietrich work at? I'm interested in getting the extended Lexus platinum warranty.

Thanks

I've seen this issue pop up a few times. I wonder if Lexus would replace an 08-10 cluster with an updated 2011+ cluster?

I bought my 2010 three months ago with 45,000 miles and declined the third party extended warranty. It was around $2800 for 3 years/36,000 miles. I've heard bad things about aftermarket warranties and I'm not a "warranty person", so I walked away with one.

I got an extended warranty on my 08 at 58K. I had never bought a 3rd party before but I was vulnerable at the time due to both my main car and back up car have the transmissions go out in the same week. Well... about a month ago my ISF's trans blew up (rare they say). I paid a $100.00 deductible on 5K repair job (this was with a low mileage trans). True, I like to think I could do all my own car work (replaced the trans twice on my race car, during the race weekend) but I saw the tech drop the motor to get to the trans and I'm a new dad with sleep deprivation so I was glad someone else could do it for me this time, especially since it was my DD at the time. The warranty saved me this time, hopefully i'm the exception not the rule.

I thought Lexus extended warranty is only good to the original purchaser and non-transferable?

At least the CPO extended warranty is not, not sure about original factory extended?

I thought Lexus/Toyota prohibited sales of extended warranties across state lines?
