Default Looking to vinyl wrap my window pillars ...

i'm interested in DIY wrapping my window pillars for my 2008 Lexus IS F. I was wondering what the best way to do this would be without harming the rubber trim? Can you remove these?

I did this for the logos and stuff, but I wanted to to for a carbon fiber look. Can you make that look with plasti dip?

Not sure if you mean the chrome pieces or the actual pilars..i just did my pilars in 3m CF overlay..looks ok and installed very easily, looks like it will remove easily too.

It can be done, but not worth the effort (and it will look bad ), and it probably costs more in cans of spray than 3M covering like above.

This is what I'm looking to do. I have the vinyl and stuff. my question is, how did you trim it? I tried before and cut the rubber seal a little bit (facepalm)

Not an IS-F but I had the Chrome all around my windows wrapped in 3M ScotchPrint Gloss Black Vinyl. Came out great.

No need to spend much $ on this mod. Get this
http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...tline-kit.html

The Mini Cooper guys use it all the time...you will need the gen1, one roll should be enough if you know what you doing.

No more chrome trim!!!

So, what I did was custom cut the pillars from a roll of carbon fiber vinyl. the reason I did this is because I want it to Match when I wrap the mirrors . Thanks for all the suggestions. next I might plasti dip the chrome around, because plasti dip has worked well for me before. I will post pics later
