28mm for front is the recommended thickness to replace, they start at 30mm, not sure about the rears. i think the the min widths are stamped on teh rotors

This is correct. Minimum thickness is stamped on the rotors.

im at 23K and im about to replace my pads only. Chicago traffic is killing my breaks
