No more IS-F?

I can see the logic of going smaller V lump and turbo charging. This will make the car a lot more competitive in Europe given emission laws and espcecially road tax prices in the UK.
So if 2015/2016 sounds like similar timing of GS-F. So maybe the same engibe in both??
Either way, be interesting to see what engine they use next and what the next IS-F will look like.
Personally i dont see them dropping the IS-F having spent a lot of money plugging it and it now being recognised as a M3 compettitor. I really do think the IS-F is the start og many 'F' cars and hopefully a new pedegree of sports car from Lexus.

In a GS-F it will need to be 500-550 BHP to compete with M5, XFR etc and keep the 0-60 below 4.5 seconds.
If they keep the V8's they will never crack Europe so sadly it does need to go

There's the XFR, E63, and M5...all over 500hp (the Germans well over) and all over $80k (the German cars, when optioned moderately, push $100k). Those cars do not sell in high volumes, but they do sell, so I can see why Lexus wants a piece of that pie. If they put out a GSF with over 500hp and can manage to keep their tradition of having even the "base" version having standard equipment that the Germans make options, it'll be less expensive than the competition. Throw inLexus reliability and iit'll sell.
The baffling thing would be Lexus permanently abandoning the 4 door M3 and C63 competitor that is the ISF. A car that has 4 doors but not the $100k price tag is going to be a better seller forsure. For that reason, I see the ISF making a comeback in a few years.

So I'm sure this subject has been beatin like a dead horse. I have taken a hiatus from the board for a while, but I'm back with questions now. I am absolutely in love with the new M3. Don't really want a coupe or I might consider the RcF over the M4.
Are we 100% sure there won't be a revision of the ISF? I have seen some leaks on Lexus Enthusiast about a possible ISF. I know there is possibly a GSF in the works but more than likely we are talkin M5 price. I want a high performance sedan and before I go buy the M3 next year I need to be able to rule out an ISF. I would like to stay with Lexus but the latter may force me to leave...
Any input?

I can tell you as a CMO that companies will turns on a dime if they believe a product will drive demand for their product line. I would hold before making any decisions. We'll know soon if the ISF sedan will spawn a new generation.
Neither the IS F nor the RC F will generate big sales for either car, but they will drive brand awareness and demand for Lexus products by association.

It's one of the best cars ever made ... Period. Enjoy owning one of 11,000 on the planet.
And I would not take this as a definitive remark on the fate of the ISF. Lexus will not show all it's cards.

I was just wondering about this today, and didn't see this. Sorry I have asked a similar question already in this forum. But just saw this discussion. No more IS-F anymore?
