Never really looked at it until now. Had this car for almost 4 years... Looks like curb rash.. But inside??

I noticed the inside of one of my wheels looks like that too. I've never curbed it or been to an automatic car wash.

my guess is its from the wheels being layed down on the ground when they are off is my guess.

This happened to my rim after a shop installed the rear wheel onto the front after changing the tires. I noticed something was awry when he drove the car out of the shop and had him inspect it. The damage was done already.

Mine got washed in a machine before I took delivery. I didn't think to check for damage on the wheel or I would have insisted on having it replaced before delivery.

Could be car wash track but I use a car wash somewhat regularly (wintertime mostly) and I don't have that. There are a number of things that could cause that such as a tire mounting machine, OR previous owner (or maybe even you) let the tire rub on some of the suspension components. Ive had that happen to me when i had blown my shocks
