I'd been looking everywhere but I haven't found an answer... How can I identify an OEM 19" Rims from a replica?

I'm presuming you mean the '08-'09 wheels. From what I've noticed, the blade design is backwards. As opposed to the samurai part facing forward on all four wheels, I've seen them backwards. Just think of the way they're supposed to be installed and having them rotated from one side to the other. I was wondering why I was seeing some more Neiman Marcus style wheels on non IS F cars. The authentics rarely ever get sold.

I'm pretty sure there is unique casting marks on the OEM, that will distinguish originals from replicas. Probably near the valve stems and on the inside of the spokes. Also weight will be the telling factor.

I'd seen so many replicas out there but haven't seen any OEM to compare them to... Will have to look for HD pictures and start looking for details you guys mentioned. Thanks

I do remember in previous years, replicas were made with the blade design in the opposite direction. I guess some manufacturers caught on and wanted the look to be the exact same. The differences are: wheel sizing and wheel sizing according to this auction. It is claiming that the hub bore is the same as the IS F, but I can't verify without purchasing one. And another thing, replicas shouldn't be too expensive. Also, weight of these wheels might be as much or more compared to the OEM wheel.

well for starters, is our stock wheels stamped with BBS? If it is then the replicas will not have that stamp.

Stamps on the back side of the wheels are always there, The stickers they are pretty hard to rip off too.

OEM wheels are always either unpainted polished or painted with a pearl metallic paint. Replicas are usually just a flat colors or chrome dipped.

for example on the paint differences. IDK if you can tell but I sure can

OEM IS-F wheels

Replica IS-F wheels

Hi guys,

There is a set of (4) IS-F Wheels being sold next to where I live for a decent price. All (4) wheels are 19x9 55mm offset square setup.

How can I identify with surety that they are genuine OEM or replica wheels ? I have posted some pictures from the post.

Guys,

How can I tell these are OEM forged being sold? They are 5 hour away so want to be sure. Was it confirmed that the forged oem wheels have some stamps in the back?

If they are all the same, there is something wrong. The fronts should be 19x8 45ET and the rears should be 19x9 55ET.

I agree but the seller said he mixed and matched the set because of AWD drive setup. He bought (2) rears seperately I guess. Is there any other way to tell for sure?

Casting marks on the back of the wheels. Get pictures of the other side. You realize the 55ET won't work on the front without a 10mm spacer?

I have requested the pictures of the other side. So far he only gave me this picture lol.

I'm trying to make it work on my 4GS 350. Yes, I realize I need a space for the front.

my advice just wait for a gs specced wheels you dont really want to run those spacers and if you do run them it should be for clearing brakes, suspension etc... the oe wheels should have toyota stamp and spec like this at least thats what I look for with oe wheels
