Lexus IS F discontinued "this month"
My local dealer just called me to say that this month (April'14), Lexus will discontinue ordering and production builds for the IS F. My order went in late last month and it was confirmed... he said mine may be the "last" IS F being built. Once I get my VIN, I will let you all know so we can compare final edition production numbers... probably in the next month or two.
Not sure this is truly official, but that is what my dealer just reported to me.
I guess we all knew this day would be coming, with the RC F (and other F cars) coming later to replace the venerable and awesome Lexus IS F.
I feel so lucky to have just slipped in under the wire with my new 2014 order, to join this exclusive club.

I will be glad to supply my VIN once I get it. I helped figure out (summarize) the Toyota production runs for the Supra back in the late 1990's for www.mkiv.com. If we can get Lexus to share the information (ideally), or perhaps confirm that our VINs do match/sequence properly, we can make a pretty good estimate on the IS F historic production run that way as well.

Never bothered to track those Globally..
Since the 2005/2006 launch.. Approx 4 other motors (non v8) have been used on the XE20 platform...
If I had to make an educated guess, I would aim for somewhere near 500,000 units since the launch of the 2IS platform.

Negative on that...
2008 was the best year.. over 4,000 units.. Then all way lower from there..
We have a thread somewhere with 08, 09, & 10 #'s but honestly it doesn't really matter.
Pretty sure from 09 on they were all bellow 1,000 ish
Years SOLD 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014 - 7 year run
