So.... general consensus PPE or Sikky?
So.... general consensus PPE or Sikky headers?
Which of the two creates less problem or issues if I may say?
I'm eager to get one but wanting the members' input! Thanks in advance!

I believe both produce similar numnbers. Members have stated that the build quality on PPE headers is better. I have heard from numerous owners that PPE runs lean, while Sikky runs richer. But the problem that gets me is that there were a few threads about PPE headers and the codes that popped up as a result of running leaner. I'm hopeful those were no issues, but those were the threads I subscribed to to find out more info.

Running PPE headers on a RHD ISF. Apart from having to do a bit of modification to make it fit (it rubs against the steering column if you don't modify), no problems whatsoever. Taken the car to the track quite a few times since the headers have gone on and no problems.

You are going to hear split responses. PPE here, after seeing the SIKKY headers coating flake off like the ones roaming around here I said no thanks since I daily my car. Now with that said they did contact anyone posted and replaced the headers for them free of charge minus labor.
The Rich/Lean deal I think Is more related to the CEL bypass module and the resistance given I would think.

rock and roll
DaveGs4.... Thanks for those links. Only reason why I wanted to ask this question is simply because... these two headers have been out for quite sometime and I think this might be the best time to ask as to which of the two produces less problem.
Cayman.... that's what I wanted to hear that you're CEL free problem with Sikky. I just read the link of toothdoc's comparison. Given the chance.... would you buy PPE over Sikky now?

I think both depends on mainly the installer. If you have someone who install headers before and know what he is doing you will probably have a less chance of running into issues. I notice people with sikky complain of fitment issues. People with ppe after a while check engine codes came up. i know mines did but I cleared it and it never came back on.

Are the cel issues associated with ppe headers like a random occurrence that typically goes away or once you get them it becomes a chronic issue?
I have a new set of headers but am highly debating if I even want to deal with installing them due to issues like this.

no it is not because of the headers, mainly the sensor become bad or the wiring is exposed to the elements. headers themselves are spotless. so in the end if its mainly the sensor and wiring. I would recommend getting the extension from Paul so you can avoid all this.
