Been lurking around for a while trying to learn as much as I can while shopping for a ISF. Hoping for a 2008/2009 with under 40,000 miles.

I have been trying to find out the difference between the base trim offered in those years, and the fully loaded... from what I gather, the fully loaded comes with Navigation and Mark Levinson?

Was there a backup camera offered in 2008/2009? and was this standard feature? or was it an option?

Also, I noticed some examples where the front nose had the emblem and mid section blacked out (similar to the new generation IS), but some pics of others for sale doesn't have the middle of the front nose blacked out. Is this film that enthusiast apply themselves? Or was it painted on by Lexus?

Hi Jason, welcome to CL!

Most of the ISFs out there already include navigation and ML, this would be the "fully loaded" trim if you want to put it that way. Other than that, there are no significant changes within same year models. With later year models there have been quite a few additions, including LED headlights, a mechanical LSD, an updated gauge cluster, suspension upgrades, and so on. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that all ISFs have rear view cameras.

As for the blacked out front bumpers those are put on by the owners either professionally or DIY. I had mine done as a DIY project. Not only does it give it a more aggressive look, it also protects the covered areas from rocks and other flying debris.

I'm assuming silver is the most popular color? The vast majority of ads I've come across are silver, followed by white and black, then blue and then red.

 

I don't know the real world statistics but we had a mega meet in Delaware last year with over 40 ISFs in attendance. There seemed to be an even distribution of colors with the exception of one Phantom Gray Pearl and a couple white Fs. If you do a Google search blue would be the standout color.

 

There are some without navigation/back up cams. And fully loaded would include the mark lev package and pre collision/radar cruise

NAVIGATION / MARK LEVINSON PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM PACKAGE (Says Mark Levinson below DVD/CD drive)

Options:
Pre-Collision System with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (Glass-like "L" logo in the front of car... I think what you mean by "blackedout")
Intuitive Parking Assist (Little circles on bumper)
Headlamp Washers (Small square lid underneath headlight)




I saw a base model ISF with no nav the other day.... Looks pretty silly.
And if it has either nav package, it will have backup camera.

For the Ultra Sonic Blue... is it for:

2008-2009 Black and White interior was available ?
2010+ only white interior?

 

2008-2009-Black interior ONLY
2010-2011-Black, Alpine (white) interior
2012-2014-Black, Alpine, Red interior
To answer your question- Alpine (interior) is not available in 2008-2009 models.

 

interesting... I have to find a 2010 or newer USB with a black interior.... both are Alpine. I don't think I'm baller enough to have a white interior...

 

I think the proximity alert is the rarest option, even loaded F's don't usually have it. Red is definitely the rarest color, I had to fly 1000 miles to get mine.

 

Alpine were available for 08 and 09, I have seen a few cars with that. It's just not as common as From 10 on
