Would you scrub the paint on the body with a toothbrush? Why would you think it's OK for the paint on the wheels but not OK for the paint on the body? Look at the pics of my wheels after the Iron X. See all the scratches in the clear coat? It's from scrubbing with brushes to try and remove the imbedded pad material.

Not a chance. The iron from the pads gets hot and melts into the clear coat. That's why you need Iron X or something like it to get the wheels clean.

I use sonax every car wash, and ironx about once a month. I am pretty fanatical about keeping my stuff clean and looking good. Ironx is much more powerful and effective on the caked on brake dust in the corners of the wheels.
