To piggyback on this comment make sure they are not the regular 10k/8k rates those rates are for the IS models. The ISF is much heavier u will need no less than 12k/10k higher the better.

Default Got a shot of the tire at my shop, rear differential blew out on the highway!

Unfortunately, the rear differential blew out on the highway yesterday, I was lucky I was able to get over to the shoulder before the car ran out of steam, had to get it towed back to the shop for repair.

During this time I was able to snap a shot of the tire width in the rear and you can see the spring that is on the car.

So would everyone agree that BC racing coilovers would be my best bet? And for city driving, what level should I adjust them to? I think I will order a set, its only $1000 not too bad, and the shop promised to install them for me for free when I bought the car.

FYI, when everyone was saying take a pic of the tires they meant take a pic of this. The letters/numbers that are on the side of the tire that tells the tires profile

Looks like previous owner did a muffler delete. I saw one of your earlier pics, it looks like one wheel had spacers on it. I didnt know if it was the rotor or something. Removing that spacer (if there is one) can solve your rear rubbing issue

Sorry to hear about the troubles.

Also, it looks like the Teins are probably the springs that you already have, unless there is something else made in that color.

There's only one reason the diff blew. The car has been heavily abused by the previous owner. Hopefully, nothing else crops up.

Not trying to hate, but there's no way on God's green earth I would have bought that car.

Like lobux said, hopefully no other problems pop up.

Ya tuff luck on the diff. In my opinion I wouldn't get coilovers because if your rubbing with Tein H-tech springs (only .6 rear drop) you just going to have to adjust them to stock height. Sort-of a waste if you ask me. Instead purchase a new set of rims with an offset that actually fits the car. If that's not an option get some figs rear arms and put a half a degree more negative camber and your problem will be solved. By the way if you getting a new diff make sure you get a 2010 and up one with LSD.

Can you explain this statement, what are rear arms? Sorry I just really don't know that much about this. And what is LSD on the diff? Do I just tell the shop to get a 2010 diff and they can specifically order that part?

congrats to the F family ! If i were you i would fix the car just right and trade in this thing and get the CPO ones ( if you really like the F ).
Looks at your F i feel bad for you b/c the previous owner didn't treat the F right, they also didn't take good care of the car . Hopefully your F get it fixed right.
Where do you live in IL ? if you want to borrow my stock wheels to put on your car for rubbing checking PM me , i live in Rockford IL.
